HR professional fined $105k over “deceitful” underpayments scheme​on April 11, 2024 at 3:36 am

An HR professional has been fined more than $100k, amid more than $4 million in penalties handed down after a "deliberate" scheme to deprive workers of their entitlements. <!–MORE–>

Federal Court Justice Anna Katzmann fined the former HR coordinator of DTF World Square, which operated the Din Tai Fung restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne, $105,084 for her involvement in numerous contraventions of the Fair Work Act.

DTF itself was fined $1,997,100 for its breaches, while associated company Selden Farlane Lachlan Investments was fined $1,896,300, and their joint general manager received $92,232 in penalties.
